This little tiddler was born on the 16th July weighing in at 6lb 13.5oz a definite keeper.

Extremely wet and unfavourable conditions saw the climax of the Broom Series 2009 won by Mick Slater from Leyland.  He took first place honours in the A final with a bag weight of 31lb securing him the £1000 cash prize.  In second place was Mike Shaw from Carlisle with a bag weight of 20lb 3oz.  And third place honour when to Tony Ball with 18lb and 2oz.

The B final was won by George Bell with a very respectable bag weight of 21lb 4oz.  Second place honours went to Martin Salaman with a bag weight of 19lb 9oz.  Third place went to Jem Paveley with a bag weight of 12lb 14oz. 

The overall series was won by Mike Shaw securing him £500 for the series win.  Second place overall went to Mick Slater and third place to John Callahan.
